SUPERSTAR Beyonce provided one of the early ‘wow’ moments at today’s MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, arriving hand-in-hand with daughter Blue Ivy.

Bey’s choice of outfit certainly turned heads: a shimmering, floor-length long-sleeved gown, complete with bizarre furry shoulderpads that towered up on either side of her head.

It was part ice queen, part snow bunny, and a whole lot of look:

Bey performed at the Awards show but was upstaged by Kanye West who was given four minutes of stage time to do as he liked — not surprisingly, his rambling speech went for much longer.

Elsewhere, Catfish creator Nev Schulman’s girlfriend Laura Perlongo turned heads, walking the red carpet heavily pregnant with nothing but an open jacket covering her top half.
